Welcome! Since returning home I’ve been busy putting the house together, starting the job, meeting the church folk, etc. I’ve also started some dance classes; ballet and belly dancing. Both styles of dance have had my interest for a long time so, needless to say, I’m super excited about them!
I feel like I’m always starting a new job or learning a new position. As a Case Manager at Pastoral Counseling Services of Summit County (PCS), I basically work in Akron Public Schools helping kids stay on track. So far, things are a little slow going in building my case load. However, I don’t entirely mind because having time at home to clean and get used to things is nice.
As for my human trafficking work, I have met with some great ladies from Cleveland on an anti trafficking commission and we have some plans in the making. Also, me and Erik will be attending the 2009 Annual Prostitution and Human Trafficking conference in Toledo, October 1 & 2. We’re looking forward to meeting a German Nun, Sister Dagmar Plume. She operates an anti trafficking agency in Germany that we’d like to visit! I have 2 definite speaking engagements and 2 more probabilities this Fall.
That’s what is happening currently in a nutshell.
