About Erik

Welcome!  I am currently a student at Ashland Theological Seminary, pursuing my Masters in Divinity, and pastor at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in East Canton, Ohio.  I am also seeking ordination in the United Methodist Church, and serve on two committees: East Ohio Conferece Committee on Young Adult Minsitry, and Mission Discovery -a juristictional committee for youth in missions.

Some of the most influential times of my life have been spent overseas.  In 2001 I spent a year studying German at the Universitaet Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria.  After graduating from Bowling Green State University, I moved to Port-de-Paix, Haiti to be a teacher and a missionary.  I was there from 2002-2005.

On a personal level, I enjoy working for the lonely, downtrodden, oppressed and poor.  I’m passionate about my faith in Jesus Christ, and I hope to continue the work of God all my life long.
